The Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources (the Department) is conducting a consultation process to inform an amendment to the Australian pattern approval standard for water meters for cold potable water and hot water.
The Department is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) outlined in Schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) which regulates how entities may collect, use, disclose and store personal information.
The Department will collect from this consultation your personal information, (including your name, contact details, organisation name, organisation size, feedback, comments and opinions) to understand more about you and allow NMI to better support the industries you operate in. Information is also collected so that we are able to contact you, if needed, to seek clarification regarding any feedback and comments you provide on the inclusion of additional pressure loss classes in the Australian pattern approval standard for water meters for cold potable water and hot water. If you choose to, you may wish to provide your contact information so that NMI can provide updates to you in relation to your areas of interest.
Your personal information will be accessed by departmental staff who are involved with the amendment to the Australia pattern approval standard for waters meters for cold potable water and hot water. Your information will not be used or disclosed without your consent, except as set out in the Consultation Paper or where authorised or required by law.
