Overview
The National Measurement Institute (NMI) has been working with the International Organisation of Legal Metrology (OIML) to review the international standard for electricity meters. The OIML R 46 standard is the international recommendation for the requirements and testing procedures used to evaluate these instruments.
As part of this process, we are seeking feedback on the second Committee Draft (2CD) of the review of OIML R 46 electricity meters.
Your comments will form part of a consolidated Australian submission on the 2CD of the review of OIML R 46. Your insights will allow NMI to better represent Australian industry and facilitate international trade through this international recommendation.
Once the revision of OIML R 46 is complete and OIML has published a new edition, NMI will consider adopting the new edition of OIML R 46 in Australia.
