Overview

The National Measurement Institute (NMI) has been working with the International Organisation of Legal Metrology (OIML) to revise the international standard for automatic catchweighing instruments.

These instruments are also known as wheeled loaders or automatic packaging conveyor weighers. The OIML R 51 standard provides requirements and testing procedures to evaluate these instruments.

As part of this process, we are seeking input on the First Working Draft of the revision of OIML R 51: Automatic catchweighing instruments. Your feedback and insights will form part of a consolidated Australian submission on the First Working Draft. Contributing will also allow NMI to better represent Australian industry and facilitate international trade.
