Overview
The National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator is inviting feedback on draft offshore petroleum and greenhouse gas guidelines, factsheets and approved forms (templates).
We want to know if they are easy to understand and action.
We have updated and prepared new guidance material and templates to address amendments to the remade Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Resource Management and Administration) Regulations 2025 (RMA Regulations).
The new and updated guidance material and templates reflect changes to:
annual titles assessment report (ATAR) reporting requirements, including the introduction of approved forms
field development plan application requirements
data management, reporting and sample submission requirements
release timeframes for offshore petroleum and greenhouse gas data.
The remade RMA Regulations will come into force on 31 March 2026. We are consulting now to ensure the updated guidance material is available to industry before this time.
