Please provide comments on how the release of the areas in this region may impact you

On behalf of Multi-Client Resources (Australia) Pty Ltd, we fully support the GHG23-1 nominated area for offshore exploration for geological formations suitable for greenhouse gas storage. We have produced a very high-resolution 3D seismic reprocessing project named NOVAR MC3D that used legacy 3D seismic surveys, and now provides superior subsurface imaging of the geological formations over the entire GHG23-1 nominated area. The data is available for exploration companies to license and enable them to carry out a more thorough bid assessment and accelerated development at lower emissions and at lower cost than might otherwise occur. The NOVAR MC3D survey is one seamless 3D seismic dataset that covers an area of 15,200 sq km and includes the Jabiru, Challis, Cassini and Cash Maple oil and gas fields, and will be an important tool for addressing potential CO2 capture from nearby discovered / producing fields and storage within the depleted fields.
