Overview

Due to strong interest from stakeholders, the Australian Space Agency is opening consultations to run again until 21 March 2021.

You are welcome to submit new or additional responses, even if you’ve already submitted input during the previous consultation period (which ran from 8 January to 7 February 2021).

The Australian Space Agency aims to grow and transform a globally respected national space industry. To achieve our broader goal of tripling the size of the space sector to $12 billion and creating up to 20,000 extra jobs by 2030, we are helping businesses participate in new local and global markets with funding and programs.

Why we are consulting

We are consulting on the nature of current or planned near-term Australian space medicine and life sciences (SMLS) capabilities. This will help us develop an overview of the ambitions and plans of the Australian space industry and inform a roadmap for SMLS investment, collaboration and growth.

Your information will also:

  • ensure opportunities align with the space industry’s current or planned activities
  • shape other potential future opportunities for space access or funding.

This database will be drawn upon when identifying SMLS Roadmap targets and shaping future opportunities that help to support the growth of Australia's space industry in alignement with Advancing Space: Australian Civil Space Strategy 2019-2028
