Overview

The Australian Space Agency is seeking input on a potential Australian sustainability of space activities policy. We welcome feedback from industry, academia, government and the public.

Your feedback can include views on the policy vision, themes, the priority of each theme and the role of the Australian Government and other stakeholders.

The scope of the policy includes three different elements of the sustainability of civil space activities in Australia. These elements are:

  • economic, which considers the growth and resilience of the sector through the adoption of sustainable business practices

  • environmental, which considers the transition to net zero and a more circular economy

  • social, which considers the cohesiveness and fairness of society.
